block heater cord replacement

block heater is not functioning. where is the heater physically located on the motor so i can get the cord off to replace it. right side left side? front , back?

2002 GMC 2500HD crew cab.
K&N intake, AMSOIL all around, magnaflow 4" turbo back

It is on the right side of the engine block, just foreword of the engine mount. You can see it pretty easy if you pull the pass side inner-fender out.
