| Replaced CP3, still no start!!! We have a 2003 2500HD LB7, all stock, no modifications at all. Our problem started with hard starts, then went to no start. We tried all the more inexpensive things suggested to us. Several new filters, bleeder screw, water in fuel sensor and a new fuel filter housing. Nothing worked. We took it to a GM dealer service center and had diagnostics ran on it and they said the CP3 was bad. Their price to fix it was roughly $2500. We decided to do it ourselves. We bought the new cp3 from Oregon Fuel Injection and my husband and a buddy installed it yesterday. Well, we are still in the same boat. Truck still only starts when we put gas on a rag over the intake and it runs great. The diagnostic printout they gave us at the shop said it could also be a bad fuel junction box. Does anyone have any experience with that problem??? I would love to hear any input anyone can give.

| It may actually be your injectors that are causing the problem. If an injector is leaking it won't ramp up enough pressure to start but you can band-aid fix it to get it running. I would have the dealer check the balance rates and fuel return rates.

| Do you have fuel in your oil? Take out the dip stick and put a little drop on at paper towel. The fuel will spread real fast and farther then the oil will and you will be able to tell with the different color rings whats oil and fuel. That will tell you if your injectors are bad if you have fuel in your oil.

| We'll try the paper towel trick and see what happens. The injectors were replaced about a year and a half ago. Does anyone know if the warranty would replace them again?

| It possible you might be able to get them replaced again because you'll be on the edge of the 7 years/200,000 miles and if you had them replaced once a good dealer might work with you to get them replaced under warranty.

| That would be awesome if we could luck into the injectors being covered by warranty, if that is our problem. I'll contact the dealer first thing in the morning.

| I'm feeling a little better about replacing the CP3 pump. My husband just got back from driving the truck and he says it has a lot more power now. The dealership said our pump was weak, but I thought they were just trying to stick it to us. The truck seemed to run great to me. But, my husband says it definitely has a lot more power now. Just still won't start.
