rollover truck, engine smokes grey, sounds flat

Hi guys, well I just bought another truck, this one is a 2005 that had rolled over. The company that I bought it from already had it running again so it could be loaded and unloaded and moved around. Anyway it didn't smoke when I loaded it on the trailer, sounded normal, the dash said change engine oil and fuel filter. So I pressure washed off the truck and engine compartment, again everything sounded fine. I changed the engine oil and filter and ran it up again. The oil pressure was sitting around the 400 mark at idle so I let it run for about 10 minutes or so to bring things up to temp. The dash still asked for the oil and filter change, I noticed the oil pressure start to settle down to the 200 mark at idle. I checked the throttle resopnse and pressure at 1500 to 2000 rpm only to see clouds of grey smoke out the pipe. The engine now sounds lazy and flat when you rev it up, still can hear the turbo spool up. Any ideas ??? I almost think the salvage guys bent the rods trying to start it after the roll over with out perging the cylinders. I had a 7.3 Power Stroke burn out the rod bearings in the first 10 miles after it was installed, after I pulled the engine and tore it down 3 of the rods were bent. Any help would be great

Its gonna be next to impossible to figure out what happend when the truck was rolled over. Even if you found out who owned it. Obviously even if the truck idled upside down for 30 seconds it could damage the motor. The lifters could of had problems and the crank and mains could have problems. If it doesnt knock or anything obvious its gonna be hard to figure out whats wrong with it.

The only thing I could think of is on some vehicles they have a switch that gets triped if the vehicle was in a accident or even gets rear ended. The switch usually shuts off fuel. It could also be a part of the air bag system. Where the air bags deployed?

Thanks for the reply, no the air bags are good, the engine light is on, it sounded good and smooth when I first ran it after the oil change. It seems to run and not have a fuel issue. This truck is equipped with an emergency air cut off valve, part of this problem started I think when it was activated, maybe it didn't fully open up again. I will remove it tomorrow and see if that helps. Thanks Jim

what is the truck throwing out for OBD codes? Have it scanned, it could be in limp mode due to the rollover. Disconnect both negative battery cables for 20-30 min and see if it runs any different.
