Truck turning off

Over the last couple month my 04duramax has turned off when slowing down to stop. It has happened 4 times the last time I was turning in front of oncoming traffic.I get a alarm saying charing system failure. Put in park and it will crank up and run fine.

Welcome to the forum!

Do you have anything done to the truck? Tuner etc? Does it have a problem starting in the mornings?

Id change the fuel filter if you havent in the last 5000 miles. Also, get the charging system and batteries checked. One of the batteries could have a short.

Mine does the same thing. I have the Edge installed and thats what I assume is causing it to shut off. I don't get a message though. Always does while decelerating,at any speed. If your stock I would like to know if u find the problem 'cause it gets irritating!

Yes I have an edge installed but it has been on it for 3 year with no problems. I found some more threads say this may be the problem. One refered to overheating so I move it to the front so it could get good air flow while driving. Anybody know how to get intouch with Edge Support?
