Instrument Panel Dead

Ok, I have searched the forums and have not found this problem....so here goes...

All instruments read ZERO....they don't even twitch...not sure what the deal is....it will act up for a couple days then work fine for a long time....

I don't know if there is a correlation with wet conditions, but as I recal when it happened in the past it was dry.

I don't know if anyone else has seen this. Perhaps just a loose ground, but that's hard to find......Anyone have ideas where I can start....perhaps this can be a home garage fix....

Thanks
Mag

I think there is a fuse for the cluster...check that first. Also, how old are your batteries? Weak batteries will cause stupid electronic problems.

Need more details. What year truck? What condition are the batteries in? Does it act up when you start the truck or is it something that happens while going down the road?

wow thanks for the quick replys.

Just bought this truck....so I am not sure how old the Batts are.

The Truck is a 2003 2500HD crew Duramax w/LB7

The problem only happens *or doesn't for that matter* when you start the car....they never stop working when in use......sometimes you finish with the truck and all is fine and then 1 hour later you go out to it again and it's a no go.

I did know about this problem from the start....I am not too worried as I got a great deal on the truck and can afford to put a few bucks into it.....it was also my father in laws....so I know the history....I will ask him about the battery age and go from there as well.

Again thanks for the quick replys.....nice work...
