Excellent answer to most people's problem with trans upshifting. Mine needs a new fuel filter, causing it not shift up unless I let it off a bit. Lift pump is also needed when running more than 90 hp above stock.

I have a 08 with EFI Live and I also have the same problem with the shifting, but then sometimes I also have it like I would call it "cut out." It will do it on the same spot when I'm getting off the off ramp and and getting on a new highway at speeds around 45 to 60 with a slight grade nothing steep. But it is a noticeable like you almost hit the rev limiter or something I've had it do it to me like three times all in the same spot, it makes like a metal to metal grinding noise but then will shift fine. My tune is only like 110 horse.

Something ain't right! Turn down your tune, do the trans relearn and let us know if it still does that.

You need a lift pump or a FPRV shim. PPE sells them both.

The First Law of Thermodynamics states that energy can neither be created nor destroyed... unless it meets Chuck Norris.
I got an 03 and I have number 1 and seven injectors out with number seven leaking oil into the chamber probably coming in by the valve stems. I noticed that if I hold WOT with the two bad injectors, I get a see saw of RPMs around 3000 and 3200 and the computer will not let the unit change to the next higher gear. Just like some of the previous posters mentioned, if I let up on the accelerator, I would get the unit to shift up.
Mind ya this only would happen on flat land. I can imagine in Ohio or Colorado and Arizona, where there are constant challenges of pulling hills and mountains, this just would not be tolerable at all. I have pulled my number 1 glow plug and have found fuel spraying out of the hole and the same with number 7. All the rest don't spray fuel with the ignition relay pulled out, which allows the engine to turn over and pressurized the fuel rails without firing the injectors. You tech pros, please correct me if I am wrong here. By having the glow plugs out, if I have a leaking injector, the fuel would spray out of the hole, right into my eyes as I look into the hole. Good injectors don't spray fuel out of the hole with no ignition relay in, or the injector not firing while cranking the engine.

300hp pulls upto 3400 RPM with Allison Transmission
the engine has seen 7 full sets of injectors in 250,000 mi.
everything on this truck has leaked except the turbo,
manifolds, driver side head gasket, front main seal,
trans front pump seal, trans gear selector, speed sensor
the fuel lines but the fuel tank cracked itself on both sides
1989 Chevy Silverado C-1500 5.7l two barrel throttlebody
150hp TH350 Vaccuum only?68 trans not a 700
I NEVER changed a single injector and drove it 500,000mi. 3.23 rear end> hot dog, it will drive 85!
I had this problem going down the road. I was going along at about 40mph and stepped into it to speed up and the truck wouldnt speed up. It held steady at about 40mph but would not speed up. When i got home, i took it to the mechanic, shut it off, turned it back on and it worked fine. Any thoughts on what caused this?

could have been you were looking at a good looking woman and you just thought you were supposed to be speeding up! :tease
my freind says your shoes were too soft.
The waste gate hose fell off??
I had my intake to intercooler 3 inch air tube fall off and the truck did the same thing you are talking about except mine smoked mildly not excessive but mildly.
might be a low pressure problem on the high output side of the CP3
