Beech, I limped it early summer. I had NO idea what was going on and i think I was as mad as this guy was until enough of these guys helped me out. I figured it out that night before I even asked but she scared me. I let it sit on the side of the road. Then turn the Quad SII on and cleared everything. She drove away ok but since then I ALWAYS make sure my tranny is warmed up before havign any fun. And not I have the Transgo JR so hopefully it keeps that from happening again. I want to go to the track dammit I wanna know where Im at time wise. Probably ntohing crazy but the Englishtown meet killed me ha

Beech haven't you limped yours a bunch of times and still driving it? I have limped mine probably 4-5 times with my edge...yet to do it with my PPE but I also drive a little smarter then I use to...
Wondering how much they will really take....

i dont mean to thread jack but i thought mine limped once but went in to scan it and there were no codes! it did the clunking when shifting too. i was about 1/2 throttle and letting it go through the gears and the truck pretty much shut down when it hit 4th gear. it acted like it ran out of fuel but by the time i got the scanner out, the engine light went out and it ran fine.

That's why a built trans and EFI are the only way to go

what do you mean by poorly constructed...I am new to diesels to trying to learn about what I got...it was installed on the truck when I bought it.
just build bad...like they just changed some stuff to get more power out of it without really fine tuning to see what works best or caring about the effect it has on the engine itself..
