usually the head gaskets will push coolant out the over flow unless then completely went to hell to push that much coolant out and they would have pushed it out on both sides of the truck not the front usually im not saying they wouldnt do that, just seems odd that its by the water pump

dont worry Matt its not as bad as it sounds..i'm sure its just a hose since in a truth i dont see how it could be anything else..if it is the WP i have changed a few, they are a pain to do but with a lil time it can be done! have you looked at it already? in the last year i have torn heads of 3LLYs and none of them lost coolant like that..the WP gaskets are known for going bad but they wont loose coolant fast though..AutoZone has new ones for $100

WPs don’t usually go with no warning and gush like that. Sounds like a hose instead. There are several small ones up top that it could be.

Check your weep hole under WP.
as far as changing WP you will need to remove the starter so you can hold the flexplate from moving. IIRC balencer bolt is 36mm nut, reverse threads. balancer must come off to replace WP.

there is a o-ring that goes between the water pump housing and a supply tube to the oil cooler.
