Red face Fuel filter change

Hi, Not sure how much this will help (won't help cranking prob) but 2 weeks ago I had a fuel system service ie changed filter & serviced injectors etc. The next day got in to start the truck but would not fire, so got out and discovered the primer on top of filter was soft so pumped it up & then it started. This happened for the next 4 mornings so took it into a GMC dealer (Cresent City CA) & explained what had happened & what had been done in the service, also adding that before this service i was having no problems. They eventualy decided after speaking with previous service dealer (San Diego)& GMC field rep that they would replace the fuel filter @ no cost to me. The truck was fine for 4 days then same problem. Took it to another dealer (now in Newport Oregon) explained past history & they decided to keep overnight. The next morning of coarse it started !!!
They then decided to pressue test the system & found faulty "O" ring in the bleeder valve & replaced it. Another pressure test found a leak at the bottom of the filter in the drain thingy which they tightened & retested, no leaks. To many words I know but maybe you could check the same things on your truck if it is loosing fuel pressure. Good luck

that could very well be it, but i can't get very far if the engine won't crank for more than 10 sec at a time.
maybe you know a good scanner to use with this truck?
