Exhaust manifold warping???

Hey there all, sorry if this is a dumb question, but after I installed my MBRP 4" system, I now hear through the grape vine that I need to swap out the driver side exhaust manifold or it could warp and the exhaust valves will damage the head.
Has anyone hear of this or is it just from the guys that are taking their engines to the edge for extreme power??

I will also be installing the AFE cold air intake system this week some time. I will not be doing any chipping, I just wanted to let her breath to gain some extra MPG.

Thanx for any advice or insite on this.

More HP

I do not see any reason warpage should occur because of the larger exhaust. If anything the temp should be lower because of less restriction in the exhaust. The only advantage of the BD is it does reduce restriction on the drivers side by 20% or so

Yep I agree with petep1. The stock manifold wont hurt a thing unless your running a huge tune. There is some truth to what you heard. The stock driverside manifold is pinched towards the rear for some reason. You can buy after market BD manifold that doesnt have the pinch. But for most it really wont hurt anything.
