|  knocking sound
Help! My 2003 duramax has begun to make a strange noise. Mostly any time I am going above about 45 mph it sounds like a helicopter is following over me. The noise seems to be coming from the front. U-joint? Wheel bearings?
Front axle? I think I will take it to the tire store and have them look at tires as possible cause but seems like it must be something else.Anyone else have similar problem.It seems to reduce when I put on the brakes, but freewheeling it gets very loud.Especially at freeway speed. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thank you, danodu |

| Have the wheelbearing checked thats where i would start!!!!

| X2 Jack up front end and have someone hold the tire and wiggle it. Look under neath it for anything loose.
Try putting it in 4wd then go over 45 and see if it still makes noise to.
