Welcome to the forum!

Thats strange. Do what mods do you have done to the truck?

The truck could of went into limp mode due to the trans slipping with all the extra power. You could also have some junk in the tank causeing the fuel filter to clog. Do you have anything done to the trans?

check this out i did get codes the first time i took the truck to the dumb ass dealer i got 2 sets of trany codes but they said it was my sterio system that caused those codes to go off and that my trany was ok, thats when they said it was my fuel filter that went bad and they gave my truck back ok, thats why i did not make big deal about there poor excuse to my codes but now that the truck is doing the same thing again they dont have a answer, they say truck is ok?? BLACKDEATH i do mean 2000 & 3000 RPM, my truck has stack edge prog, and K&N filter system with a cut out bottom of the air filter box,4 inch exhaust (BANKS)strait with no catalitic (no back pressure). my problem is no power..my trany seems ok it does not slip and dealer said its ok, my gears are stock with 38inch tires on 20inch rims..

The limp mode that Tow Master is talking about is when the transmission senses slippage and in most cases will either lock you into 3rd gear or limit your rpm's to 2000. The quick temporary fix is to pull over and shut the truck for a minute or two then clear the codes when you get home. About the only fix is to either back off the throttle or replace the trans with a high performance one. Honestly, I am suprised it lasted this long with the size of your truck and the tires. Also I wouldn't rule out low fuel rail pressure either.

What were the trans codes you had?

I am with these guys and with out further diagnostics it sounds alot like you limped the trans. How many miles on your rig?

one more question do you have the LLY or LB7.the way to tell is using the Vin # count the 8TH didgit in from right to left and if it is a 1 it is the LB7 if it is a 2 it is the LLY.the reason i ask is if it is the LLY you could be dealing also with a 1093 code which is a low fuel rail pressure but by the way it sounds your going to have to upgrade the tranny or back the power down.

Yup exactly what Maverick684 said about the "limp mode".
