Fingerstick/blockerplate

Installed blocker plate started it up no problems no warning lights came on. I hesitated about putting the fingerstick on but since I had it I put it on and started it up and to my surprise the SES light was on. I took it down the road 1/2 mile and knew there is something wrong. It was sluggish and after it shifted out of 2nd gear it the engine would not go above 2000rpm, then finally it would go and run like normal. The only thing that I might not have hooked up right would be the yellow wire on the fingerstick. So my question is does the yellow wire coming out of the MAF sensor have the yellow and the green with yellow wire from the fingerstick going into it?? I am very close to going and taking everything back off so it will at least run again.

I just installed one today. The yellow wire goes to the yellow wire. Then as you have the yellow wire from the maf cut in to two, you put the yellow green wire to the other side. yellow to yellow coming from maf sensor and green yellow to yellow on the other side of the finger stick. and this problem was caused by starting you engine without the finger stick installed.

That would be it, boy is my face red lol. Runs like normal again. Except I don't think I got the blocker plate tightened up cause I can hear a whistle if i really get on it. So now that my SES light is on how do I get it off?

just keep running your truck. after about five starts it should go out, or go and get it cleared.
