i got my tranny out and have a southbend clutch and flywheel. problem is the 2pc flywheel is blocking the bolts and my prybar keeps bending. can i just crank the bolts off and split the old flywheel in half safely? any suggestions welcome!!!

thanks

The best thing i can say is try to pry it enough to get one bolt out just enough to get into the hole of the second plate and stop, that bolt will hold things lined up while you take the other ones out. When you take the last one out its best to have another set of hands to hold the flywheel while some one runs the last bolt out.

Another way if you have somethong to lock the fly wheel gear with, do that and install one of the pressure plate bolts in the face of the flywheel and use a small ratchet strap to the frame, tighten it up and it will start to spin the front plate!

Good luck
Caleb
