Help A Noob!

Im new to this forum, and Im also new to the Dmax. I bought mine begging of the year. Is a 05 2500 crewcab 4X4. I was driving to work, and as soon as I pulled to the parking lot, it stalled. It wont start. It seems to my like a fuel problem. Is there a way to check the ECM codes withou any readers or computers? If anybody with experience can guide me I will be thankful.

When the last time you changed the fuel filter. That is a simple thing that the Duramax hates a dirty fuel filter.

I havent yet. That is why I was going for the fuel. The thing is almost 9pm and I work the night shift, so I wont be able to do much here. I will try this first. Is there a way to check the fault codes, just in case there could be any other issues? Thanks so much for the fast response.

Im not sure if this works on Dmax never tried, but cycle the key multiple times, dont start tho. The cycle key trick work on the cummins. If it works it should show codes where odometer is.

Thanks for your help, I will try this first, as soon as I can get a hold of a filter somehow. I know there is some autozones that stay open all night. If not, is going to wait until tomorrow.

Run an a/c delco filter...primer is located on top of fuel filter housing...pump round button until hard, then release air by the black bolt on top of fuel filter housing with 13mm socket. Don't over tighten!!!! Then pump again and try to start.
