Well so far since 0520 this morning I have had no codes trip with the AFE oil. But I will give it two more days before I figure it's good to go.

Well it was to good to be true, I set the code today, guess I am just going to have to live with it. At least I can reset it.

The oil is not the problem. The problem is that the sensor thinks there is more air flowing than there should be. Air flow may not have actually been increased, but velocity may have (if you are using a cold air kit). MAF sensors work off of resistance, anything that alters the resistance of the wire that is in the path of the incoming air will change what the computer thinks is happening. So, more air in, less resistance (cools off the wire which lowers resistance). When you add any type of oil or liquid you are going to change that value no matter what the filter manufacturer says. When the computer gets a value it is not sure of...well it tends to throw a code if it stays out of spec long enough or does it often enough. Now here is the kicker, when it does that an arbitrary number is pulled from a table somewhere that fills in for what the sensor "should" be reading. Someone earlier summed it up nicely. If you don't trip your air filter gage doing a full throttle launch, you really don't need any more air for your motor. With the cost of repairs being so high on these motors, I would much rather sacrifice 2 or 3 HP for an extra 30-40k miles of service....wouldn't you?
Here is a little read for those looking at aftermarket filters.
