EDGE may not work right with 02 and earlier Dmax's.
(I'll post tomorrow whether or not it was Edge or not, but I'm awfully suspicious of the edge)
Today, I was pulling my boat to the lake when all of the sudden I felt a jerk in the drivetrain, looked at the RPM gauge and it was going haywire, the truck had no power and so I immediately pulled to the shoulder put it in neutral and by the time I was on the side of the road the truck was dead. I pulled over, checked all the connections, and put the Edge back to stock mode and started the truck. It ran fine, then on the way home (still in stock mode) I was coming around a corner and bam, completely dead all at once- I was still coasting so I just put it in neutral and it cranked right up.
Luckily I was only 300 yards from home. So, I have completely disconnected the Edge Juice w/attitude and will be returning it tomorrow. The odd thing is that there were no warning lights, or service engine light or anything (odd to me but i'm no ASE tech either). The damn thing has only been installed for ~3 weeks too. Right now, both batteries are disconnected and I'll be driving the truck all over tomorrow to confirm that it was the edge product.
If it wasn't the edge, does anyone have any ideas what could do this? Fuel filter and all injectors replaced recently, no warning at all that the truck was going to die either time, and all harness connections and battery connections were/are good. and should have listened to everyone- now its time for EFI or PPE.

I got a juice w/attitude Friday.Well I am less than pleased!!!!!!!I installed in 45 mins. or so.Now,the pwr levels work fine,turbo timer fine.My problem is: The DAMN monitor will only pick up 3 or 4 readings.
DOES SHOW ON MONITOR: gear[tc lockup],module temp,and load%,but that's all!!I called Edge and told them!I am supposed to be able to monitor 15 things,[only 4 at a time]I can only get 3 FRIGGIN functions,hell with that. LESSON LEARNED: I have tried the following tuners

Couldn't have said it better myself. For me, I was able to monitor all the things I am supposed to be able to monitor, but the thing freezes from time to time on one or more of the 4 things being displayed. Overall, I was happy with the performance, but I didn't really notice any MPG gain. Going to PPE, diablo, or EFI now.
Can someone please recommend a good fair priced EGT gauge? Also, can I just leave the edge probe in there or do I need to get a whole new probe? Hopefully they are all the same threading!

Most are same threaded!Just get EFI live,TRUST ME.I have purchased my last tuner[hand held]!!!Doin it right and gettin efi with the money Edge returns to me..Over 700 bucks,and half the features work,,,I DON'T THINK SO...

I honestly still wouldnt knock it. They sell thosands of problems so your bound to have a few defects! I do sorta agree though. My buddy bought a 05 duramax with a Edge already in it. He said at first it ran fine now it shuts off and makes the truck go do all sorts of things

From being on here for a year and 2 months, I have only heard a couple people who actually like the EDGE and have not had problems with it. They say tech support is great, but who really wants to have to call them when you just spent 800 bucks?? EFI live or PPE is the way to go. I love my Banks, but wouldn't mind trying IdahoRobs MPG tune to see if it's any better than what Banks is getting me. And if it isn't, I can still use EFI to do A LOT of other stuff.

I am a stubborn jackass sometimes,but I like to plug and play 2!!I will bite the bullet and just get the efi from the money Edge sends me for my refund.YES,I paid cash,so they can't fade me on that one!!Tech support is superior,so ya correct on that.But you are right: I asked Chris at Edge if he would shell 795 bucks for something that did not work properly.Let this be a lesson to the guys that have no patience for EFI,[to hell with the handhelds!!!]DO RIGHT FIRST TIME!!!Thanks to you 2 guys for ya replies,I gotta go to work now,later...

Dad had 3 edge's in his 05 and they were all junk. Took a 4th one to fix it. When he traded I was glad to see that thing go. Now he's got a PPE in his LMM. Edge is not that good on quality and I personally would stay away. My cousin had 3 go bad on his 04 lb7.
