I Put My Buddys Ppe Standard 160 Hp Eccel And I Was Coming Up A Hill And Got On It And Around 80mph It Down Shifted To Like 4300rpm It Has Done It Twice And Both Times It Has Thrown A Code Any Ideas Why??

5 to 4 downshift. Too much power to tranny at that Rpm. I had my Stock LMM do the same thing I was going up a hill and went from 5 to 4 around same RPM. It stalled and would not go over 2000 rpm. If you continue to run like that you should get a Transgo Jr

TransGo Jr does not help the 5 speed that much-- Helps the 6 speed trans much more. They make a TransGo where you replace some internal parts, but the trans will have to come out and be disassembled.

If you are going to play that hard with it, no matter what you use, you definitely want to upgrade the converter and the clutches in the tranny before you have to tow it home...

IF I PUT THE CHIP ON LVL 4 INSTEAD OF 5 DO YOU THINK IT WILL BE ABLE TO HANDLE IT???

you need to get it below the 90hp. mark before you destroy the trans. You have all ready limped it and it will only get worse.

Short answer is NO! These stock transmissions will usually only handle 90 extra hp. You better check your credit card balance because you are going to need it. You may squeeze a little more time if you are easy on the 4-5 shift.
