He must mean dip stick tube! Other than that-- I don't know. Maybe he will clarify it.

It might not be a bad idea to drop the pan and drain the fluid that you can get out. then refill. Also change the allison spin on. If the dipstic tube was broken, then you could potentially get all sorts of nasty dust and dirt into the tranny, which would be bad news!! So ya, i'd change the fluid and filter to be safe.

Now im Just Nervous because i have heard bad things about draining the transfluid. My 2002 2500 HD Duramax has 113000 Miles and i do not know If it has ever been done before. Also I do not know if the screen / Spin on filter has ever been changed i just changed it 2 days ago tho.

Now if i drain it do you suggest any lucus oil to thick in the tranny fluid.

If you're going to drain it, I would refill it with transynd. If not just use DexIII. 7.4 qts I believe. You could swith to another synthetic but it must meet the Allison 295(?) standard.
From what I have read you don't flush an allison (with a machine, anyway).
There is a "Hoot method"... maybe one of the other guys with more knowledge can tell you which is the best way to go.

My trans only called for straight ATF, not TRANSYND. I have an 04 5 speed ally.
