That's what they tell me happened to my 2001 duramax with only 234000km. Never pulled more than 7000lbs ,always on highway. Since repaired 2weeks ago it is leaking oil (they can't seem to find leak) and the drive shaft(to transfer case) is whistling. Dealer putr in way more than estimated time and seems to be putting me off so they can recoup lost money.
Hmm I never heard of that happening before! Was the truck stock and everything? No programmers or mods etc.? When you say timing block do you mean engine block? Huh Hopefully the repair everything under warranty!
