| Tires and Mileage.... I think I'm not as informed as I thought.. After talking to numerous people, some run 285's and bigger, and half get 12-13MPG and some are getting 15-16MPG city. Now I heard if you run big tires, and live in a city setting with big hills, you will get bad mileage....but with bigger tires and running the highway, you can get better mileage than with smaller tires. If I get 285's and change the speedo to my new tires, will it change my gearing and get me better mileage than if I didn't correct the speedo? I'm just confused why some are getting good mileage with bigger tires...
