I was always taught that straight pipe is the best way to go. Another thing I learned is that back pressure doesn't matter with a diesel because of the turbo. Now in a gasser, it's a different story.....

i have a '06 max. could i just replace from the front of the cat to the back of the muffler with a piece of 3 1/2 alum and a stainless tip? how you think it would sound?
