looking at putting a remote start on my truck most likely a clifford one that has the 1 mile range but was wondering what everyone else is running. the main thing i'm worried about is if they will delay the time from when it turns the ignition on and the time when it actually starts it. you know give the glow plugs time instead of just firing it right up

Whoever said, "It's not whether you win or lose that counts", probably lost.
I had a viper in my 04 and the factory in my 08. If you have an alarm make sure your alarm is the same make as your auto start or it will cause problems.

Did a lot of research on this when I got mine (Compustar), almost all can be installed with the start initiated by your glow plug indicator extinguishing (a lot of installers call it the "wait to start light"). You can also opt to have them program a delay.

all of the remote starts listed so far are quality units. Most quality units will have the option of a diesel wait to start wire or a programming feature of 10,15, or 20 second delay on starting.
