Head Studds

well guys my older bro just called me and said he blew the head gaskets out of the LLY Dually so now its time to take the heads of and replace the gaskets but while we are at it i wanna install a set of high torque ARP head studds that i have and was wondering if anybody here as any experience in this field,i would love to have some pointers.later James

i've put arp studs in my old s-10 that i installed a hot 355 in several years ago. used a little removeable locktite to insure they didn't try and back out. can't remember the tork specs though. seem to hold real good though. good luck.

just make sure you torque them properly. and they will hold until you tear it down for rods.

I get mine back in the morning. Got 2 new heads, head studs and new radiatior installed under warranty.

does anybody know what the TQR specs are on the high TQR ARP studds.

i couldnt amagine doing something like this on my own. looks like a hell of a job. got to remove practicly everything to get those heads off
