Hey everybody. I received my block plate and figerstick today in the mail. im pretty confident on installing the block plate, but not so much on the fingestick. ive printed out instructions on the procedure, but after reviewing them i dont feel anymore confident about it than i did before. I was wondering if any of you have ever installed the fingerstick on an LBZ before. if so what is your advice on this procedure. Also if anyone has any input on making the block plate install go smoother, then im all ears and would love to hear your advice.
Thanks,
Chris

I have installed three my self. All I can tell you is use oil on the bolts to get them off. after that try and pry the tube back from the cooler to knock it home. if you have problems John can answer all you questions.

Yes. I installed the blocker plate and fingerstick on my LBZ.Got them from Kennedy diesel. Blocker plate was a pain, but I got it installed. Then the fingerstick went in. Instructions are good...check your wires carefully. My soldering job wasn't so hot though.I ended up having to use wire splices on two of the wires. They work pretty good. You can purchase them at any electronics store. But try the solder first, its themost reliable connection.

I would install the block first and go a couple of days and see if you even need the fingerstick. You may not get a SES light. For the block plate i usually use a end wrench and a small hammer to tap the wrench with.

im pretty sure im gonna need the fingerstick, ive been startin to get the p0401 code and SES light from the catless exhaust, usually seems to do it most after WOT or pulling loads.

update: I installed my block plate earlier, and boy was that a pain in the neck. After getting the nuts loose i thought it would be easy from there...haha yeah right. Turned out that gettin the nuts loose was the easiest part. After a few cuss words and some beatin and bangin, the block plate finally went into place. Got everything tightened back up and checked for leaks...so far so good. Now my question is.......how likely is it for the nuts to loosten back up some after it has gotten good and warm? I didnt know if it would be a good idea to check them in a couple days, or just assume that it is still tight.
