When is it time to get a turbo timer

Just curious at what point in your upgrades should you start considering a cool down timer for your turbo.

any time really...

Turbo timer adds convince to cool down. If you dont want to wait and idle down the turbo, then a timer will do it for you.

I would add one if you have the Garrett VVT and upgrade to a non water cooled turbo. Otherwise they cool down ridiculously fast.

Thats fine Paul.
I dont know how fast the non-watercooled Lb7s cool off, but I know I go from 1650º at the finish line to 300º before I can get stopped to turn off.

I guess I should update my signature, but I have a 2004.5 LLY. I've only had it for a couple months now, but I've put on a 4" MBRP TB exhaust, RBP Tuner, EGR blocker, PCV reroute, and modded the air box.

I want to work on the tranny next, before I get over excited and accidentally go twin turbo, haha.
