I Installed My Ppe Tie Rod Sleeves The Other Day And When I Put The Ends Back On The Passenger Side Was Tight Gettn It On But I Got It There With The Same Turns As When Ut Came Off. I Went Today To Have It Allighned And They Couldnt Adjust The Toe Inn Cause The Nut And Sleeve Were In There Tight!! So They Took The Nuts Off Both Sides And Tightned The Sleeve Against The Tie Rod End. And Allighned It Out Perfectly Will It Hurt Anything Having The Nut Gone And Just The Sleeve Against The Tie Rod End.

I don't know if I'd leave the nuts off. they're on there for a purpose. They should know that. Did you clean the tierods off before installing to get off excess dirt and grease? I had to on one of mine. Mine went on just fine but they weren't ppe sleeves. You may have to take them back off and clean to make sure they go on far enough to get the nuts on and you may have to get a wire brush and clean the threads up a little bit.

In some sense the sleeve will serve the same as the nut, i would want it there but i dont think it will cause you any problem with out it other than the sleev covering less of the tie rod! Ive run ito problems with them threading tight on trucks that have been under coated and not getting it all off the rod befor installing the sleeve!

Ya I agree with everyone. The sleeves I got didnt come with nuts. As long as the sleeves you got are threaded then they should be able to tighten against the tie rod end and not need the nut.
