01 questions

I am new to this so heres my story. I have an 01 lb7 I was offered a superchips max microtuner with 3 power settings for a very good price so I took it. I believe it is 55 75 and 95 hp settings. I dont have exhaust or intake or any other mods. Can I safely run this tuner? Its important I dont damage this truck she is my daily driver. Any help would be appreciated. I also noticed some stock intake mod on here does it work or is it worth it? Thanks in advance

You can run it, but i would get some guages just to be able to watch the egts. Since you have a 01 you won't have a cat on the exhaust so that is good. You probably wouldn't have a egt problem, but i would want to know what they were.

can the trans handle it as well?

The stock tranny can handle up to a 90 hp increase. While towing i would not go above a 60 hp increase.
