Best/Loudest Sound

I want a loud truck but have heard that straight piped duramaxs dont sound to good, I have a 4'' MBRP TURBO BACK exaust with no kitty and a muffler, Im considering removeing the muffler to make it louder. It already sounds great, but want it louder.

I love the sound of a straight piped d-max. There not loud at all at idle. At WOT there still not loud inside, but scream pretty good outside.

x2 on the stacks! I put a set of 6" stacks on my 02 and it is loud as hell!

Ya Id straigth pipe it for sure! Heres pics of mine. I used band clamps and a stick or you can get the muffler delete for around $50 + band clamps.

The good thing about doing it that way is theres no need for welding or stretching the pipe and if you want to remove it then add the muffler in again you can and reuse the clamps! :d

If you ever get some power on that Duramax ya got,then it will sound like 2 sm blk chevys and a F-16 screaming at the same time...Best I can describe it.When you pushin the hp and tq up,then them pipes give a sweet ring!!!

I love the sound of a straight piped D-max, cant beat it... im personally going to swap to 8" stack's when i can find somone that makes them or when i can find the pipes so i can make my own...
