Mojo,
On my truck I mounted my 2-way farm radio on the left side of the console by were your right knee would be. I thought about the same place you're talking about but did not want to install an external speaker. I mounted it there and then ran the coax under the dash to the left kick panel and then under the door sill trim where there are already wires there. Then I ran it back to the back door and drilled a hole under there and then ran the coax along the frame to the front of the bed where I mounted my antenna on my toolbox. That's how I did mine. I have some pics if you want to see what I'm talkin about.

Id say its doable! That center section and the cup holders pop right out so you can get in everything to wire and cut the plastics for your CB. I was thinking about putting mine there its a smaller one so it will work. My buddy mounted his like aggars but on the passenger side so he didnt loose any leg room... Sucks for the passenger!

I mounted mine on the dash...

with Velcro, although I do not have the center console like yours, if I had I may have done the same thing, but you should not have a problem, at most I would think you may have to trim the plastic a little for a good fit.

I put the folded rag there to limit bouncing, but I have never had a problem, and I can take it down without a problem too when I am parked in a bad spot to limit tempting thieves...

My brake controller had a caution notice about mounting a two-way or cb radios near it. Anyone ever heard of this or had any problems?

Hmmm...never heard of that.

Might have to do with the electronics in the controller interfering with the signal?

Iounted mine in the same spot next to my right knee. I have a Cobra mdl 29 night watch similar size to yours and its about 4 inches away from my brake controller and have had zero issues. I had a buddy make me a mount that I could mount on my fender tomorrow when its daylight I will take a pic and post.....
