Howes additive?

What does this additive really do for the LMM and ULSD?
Should we be running something like this?

Thanks for the advice.

Welcome to the forum!

I know my owners manual specificaly says NOT to use a additive. I use a additive ever thousand miles or so to help keep the injectors and the rest of the fuel system lubed up! Defiantly worth doing every once and a while. You wont hurt anything

Welcome to the Neighborhood!!!

Additives for the most part keep your fuel system lubed properly, they can also prevent gelling in extreme cold, etc.

Additives are really cheap insurance when maintaining your new $50K truck.

I was having an issue with my truck cranking excessivly, i figured the injectors... The dealer said the truck passed all injector and fuel system test and said it was because i had been adding stanadyne to the fuel. They said to run 4 or 5 tanks through and change the filter. I live im michigan and its near zero outside right now so i guess i will call them to fit the bill for a gelled up fuel system.
