Just bought 8 gallons of mobil 1 turbo diesel truck 5w-40for $15.00 per gallon jug. Sign said it had been like $26.00 a jug.
It was 26.00 per gallon. This came up on another site I was wondering why you wouldn't want to use Amsoil 15W-40 at 23.85 per gallon for that price.

I will leave this alone except to say that Mobile 1 is a good product, but the drain intervals will be increased with it because it breaks down faster than Amsoil. I don't know about the 5 qt gal thing, I have actually never used it by the gallon jug...
The jugs say 4 guarts on 'em. I figured mobil for 15 bucks was a purty good deal. The dealship said for filter and oil change and fuel filter change was over $200.00.
guess I will stick to doing it myself to save cash and make sure it is done right.
