Coalescing filters have the ability to filter down to .1 microns and have been used for years in gas/vapor filtering and water removal. Particulate filtering below 4 microns is not as important an issue as the water removal increase this filter has.
Gotcha. Thank you sir. I thought I had seen something on your other thread about filtration below 1 micron so that is why I was confused. That clears it up. I appreciate it.
for the most part- have to take off the water sensor, etc. but is a piece of cake. there is a write up in the DIY section that explains pretty well.......

This is the latest and greatest high efficiency, long life, "depth coalescing media" fuel filter by Racor. This is the EXACT same filter sold by GM dealerships (pn# 12633243) but at a fraction of the cost. The PFF50216 has been tested to OEM standards for life, efficiency, water removal, and is now standard and backward compatible on all GM Duramax engine applications. The Racor PFF50216 coalescing filter system inside has up to twice the life and improved water removal in all blends and types of diesel fuel when compared to other paper media filters.
Thanks for the link....just completed a transaction on the site....Great prices and free shipping....very easy to setup an account....
