I really like Schaeffers products, but the local Oriellys just had Mobile delvac1300 for $6.50 a gallon so I bought 3 cases of that for the motor. I have Schaeffers in everything right now..

I found 3 gallons of Rotella T HD in the truck garage at work ( we own the buisness I didn't steal it lol ) so that is what I'm running ATM...we have mack trucks with 500K+ that have only ran that so it works for me although I am going to go synthetic soon just so I don't have to change it as much

x3 for Schaeffer's. Have it in all our equipment. I am a firm believer. The amsoil gets dirty fast from what i have experienced. Schaeffers i have noticed is dirty the first change from cleaning the engine and stays clean and gets cleaner every extended oil change

That just makes me wonder if the oil is catching the soot like it should then?

Seems like a logical question? Any expert thoughts on this?

A diesel engine with oil that does not get dirty from soot but instead is suppose to stay creamy looking, especially with regular filtration, I would have to wonder about that myself. Especially if extending the oil change intervals. The additives in Amsoil catch and hold the soot in your engine and that is why it "Gets Dirty", but it does so so that it does not build up everywhere else in the engine. As for knowing for sure either way about whether Shaeffer's will do that, IDK, I have no personal experience with Shaeffer's, but I have to doubt that ANY oil stays that clean while still doing it's job.

Also, please keep in mind that I am not saying ANYTHING against Shaeffer's a a brand of oil, although I have not run it myself, I have heard a lot of good things. But then again, I am not one to bash on any product just for bashing sake or to make our products sound better.

Ok then the thread is getting a little side tracked. I have spent the weekend researching and I think Amsoil looks like a good product so my question is to the dealers here what is the deal? How do I buy it the cheapest way? I have no clue how it works so maybe you Amsoil dealers can send me a pm and fill me in. Who has the best deal on it?
