What Oils?

I am new to this whole diesel thing. I am sure it been asked before but here goes anyway.

I just bought a 2006 LBZ 4x4 2500HD I am not sure what maint has been done to the truck with the prior owner. I am thinking I will just change out all the fluids and start from new but don't really know what everybody is using. I hear lots of good things about synthetics and will be looking into that also. Give me your opinions if you would.

Rippin, I would recommend getting a hold of bigdaddydiesel on this site. Send him a PM and he can get you a personalized maintenance plan as well as save you some money on AMSOIL products. Let me know if you need any further help!

Yeah, I would recommend switching out all of your fluids, that way you know exactly where you are at and what has been done. Amsoil is a very good choice- Just PM Chris (BDD) and he will take good care of you!!!!!!

WELCOME to the Neighborhood!!!

Obviously you have met a couple of my loyal customers...lol If you like you can shoot me an email at allinonelogisticsllc@gmail.com with a brief description of your driving habits and how you will use the truck the most and I can build a custom maintenance schedule to help you reduce the maintenance for your truck to once per year for everything for the truck instead of doing maintenance several times per year...

If you include your exact shipping address I can also quote anything and everything you are interested in using to show you not only the wholesale price I offer, but also compare that to the full retail price of those products so that you can actually SEE the savings right off the bat...

God Bless!

Chris

You are going to get a lot of different opinions from everyone. Some use Rotella, Mobile 1, Royal Purple, Schaeffers, the list goes on and on. I personally chose Amsoil b/c of past experiences, wholesale price offerings, and extended drain intervals and b/c I firmly believe they make a great product! I would definitely recommend getting all the old fluids out and replacing them so you know what is new and can keep track from there. Good Luck!

Just checked the UPS site and my Amsoil order droped at my front door less than 24 hours after I ordered it! My vote is for amsoil, I'm getting ready to switch all my fluids over.
