Yes, I believe it makes a good difference. I run both the Diesel concentrate AND the Cetane boost in both of my trucks and I can tell a difference in them if I lay off adding either one for more than a tank or two...
Also, anyone at all interested in wholesale pricing as well as a Custom Maintenance Schedule should Send a Private Message to either Mrmanners, Chevy*Tough or myself with your exact shipping information and email address so that we can build the most accurate quote possible for you.
Quick question guys, stopped at the local fix it shop that are also Amsoil dealers looking for Diesel Concentrate, didn't have any in stock but could order. Anyway, the guy said someone told him they run Amsoil Dominator 2-cycle racing oil as an additive. He did not know the mix ratio. Any feedback would be appreciated...........

I am a firm believer in Amsoil products as well, but I use the small Wal-Mart brand 2-cycle oil as my additive. It's cheap and has all the certifications that some have said you need. I put in a bottle at every other fill-up and haven't had any problems, but haven't noticed any real gains either. I'm am sure that they help lubricate the injectors though!

i know that it's "amsoil" but from what i hear is that all synthetic oils are the same, and i also hear that mobil one is just as good or better. my truck get's about 21 on the high with banks 6 gun and exhaust intake on 265 bf. i changed my rears to mobil 1 with rotella 5 40 synthetic in the engine

All synthetics are definitely not the same. Take a look at this oil study. There are blended synthetics and full synthetics.
As for AMSOIL it is a full synthetic, made with only the best chemical base stocks and additives, not petroleum to produce their products. Also AMSOIL doesn't break down like other dyno and synthetics typically do. It holds up to the heat and stress put on fluids compared to dyno and other synthetics. Because of its properties, it provides your engine more protection during the stress of startups.
Let me know if I can provide you or anyone more information.

Take care,
Not trying to start anything here but the test only refers to AMSoil 10W-30. Clearly not the oil that we run in our Maxs. Are we saying that regardless of oil weight, the tests results are the same?

Not at all, that is an excellent question. In checking with AMSOIL today regarding a diesel oil study, they have not conducted one thus far. As a dealer group, we have made a recommendation to AMSOIL that they get such a study completed.
When you are looking at all the fluid studies out there, they are conducted by ISO certified independent labs. For the AMSOIL studies, they asked for comparable size oil companies and products known to the market. Not the smaller, less known products.
AMSOIL can say they make the best synthetic on the market today based on this independent study of 10w-30. All their products meet rigorous testing like that in the study to ensure quality, longevity and wear.
The ISO ASTM NOACK volatility test, etc., are qualifications held by these organizations. When a motor oil of any type is certified by these organizations, they are certified to be able to back up their claims to longevity and drain intervals. Every piece of motor oil whitepaper or information of any kind regarding performance claims, or drain intervals longevity is conducted by independent labs.
AMSOIL Inc, does not use any of their own lab tests or lab tests results in the marketing whatsoever. Only test results from independent labs are used. AMSOIL bases their claim of being the best based on these independent studies.
I have started a poll to see who would be interested in seeing an independent study of diesel oils. If you want to participate in the poll click here.
If you have any questions or would like specific information about AMSOIL for your vehicle, toy, boat, motorcycle, don't hesitate to ask.
