Shell Rotella T 15w-40 Dino

Is this oil good for South Dakota winters? sometimes the high is 0. but most of the time 15-30 degrees?

I would say yes, I have used nothing but Rotella we use it in our semis also which they are all over and run perfectly fine in below zero weather

i ran in our old international tow trucks all winter long. my uncle runs in his cummins and i run it in mine also. my family swears by it.

just don't crap your pants when you fired her up after it has been sitting outside in -15deg weather for 2 days and the oil pressure pegs at 120psi

if you're really sweatin it you could try runnin the synth 5w-40. let it warm up real good before ya rip on it though or ya might burn some. with a low mile '07 it would prob suit ya nicely.

This will be the first time I change the oil in the truck. This is my first DMax. The napa guy was trying to sell me Royal Purple I promptly said NO. So many options. Thought about going synthetic, but Im not into the Amsoil.

well I as a consumer would say you would be best off with Rotella T it is widely known and usee, alot of people like it, I usually just go by if its good enough for expensive equipment (semis & farm equipment) its good enough for my truck

That is a good conventional oil. It will work. If you want to go Synthetic, there are others other than Amsoil. If you choose to go with it, Mobile 1 or Shaeffers would be my next choices.
