penzoil platinum 5w30 is what I like...it's also great for gassers it will keep the internals clean even after 90k+

sounds good, I'll have to pick up some more engine oil. I got my stuff for Amsoil all around and have done the oil change but not yet the trans or t-case. Should I get some more Amsoil or something from my local parts store?

auto trak II

i just changed my transfer case oil in my 06 lbz. the oil came out a dark dark red. my owners mag said auto trak II which i put in and the color is blue.

the owner's manual shouldnt have said auto trackII because you dont have the "auto" button for your 4wd. the auto track II fluid is for the 1500s. The manual you have is a general catch all manual for silverado/sierra.

SO i put the auto trac II in my transfer case, which on the bottle says for gm transfers case, is this a problem should i take out and put the right stuff in? and if i need to change what oil do i use then

it has been discussed and it will work....it just has a friction modifier in it i think. I know some dealers have put in in the trucks and it shouldnt hurt it. Just check your level from time to time like normal.
