As a dealer of fluids I can't recommend it because its not what the mfg spec'd. Ask me what I run though and I will tell you. I run 5W-30 in my t-case it got much quieter. I have had no problems with it in my personal use of it. I didn't overfill using 3 qts though. I only did 2 qts because I am old school and overfilling scares me still. I figure if I am under the truck doing maint I can just as easy take out the fill plug and check the fluid level in my t-case.

3 qurats of fully synthetic 5w30 motor oil thru the speed sensor hole.

Not a reason not to do it on the planet. Manuf. spec will be just fine, but this is considered a mod i guess. A cheap one that can be beneficial to the owner of the truck.

FULL synthetic 5w30 motor oil, 3 quarts.

otherwise,
2 quarts if you go by factory specs and use factory specified fluids.

Its on the top of the T-Case its a black plactic do dad that has a wire going to it. Its a large size you could use a cresent wrench but don't strip the plastic nut base it has. Maybe Mike knows what size wrench it is.
