not too bad cost wise, obviously it will depend on how much you drive on a daily bases but,
I fugure with my kit all the parts will cost between $500 - $600 and my free time so given the distance I drive (roughly 750 mi. a week) the amount I save will pay for itself in less than 3 months. just my 2 pennies

I don't drive as far as you but I do put 100+ daily on what ever vehicle I drive to work (mostly the bike during good weather). I am very interested in hearing the outcome of the test.

A buddy of mine just put a home made version on his 04' Silverado. Claims a significant gain in milage, but has yet to run the numbers to quantify his results. Over 170 miles and has yet to throw a code. I guess we shall see.
I would like to get something running for testing before I run out to CO in July. 24 hours of driving and lots of fuel as it stands right now. The sight we are pulling info from is touting about a 50% gain in milage, using only one quart of water in 900 miles.
I am looking to establish baseline data for this upgrade. I am looking to install EGT and boost gauges. Any suggestions on best location for the EGT probe? I know pre-turbo, but is there a "best" place? Any suggestions on source for the sensors and gauges? I am running a Bullydog programmer, and have a buddy with a Cummins who gets all his stuff from them, but I thought I would ask you guys too.
I've read that after awhile your oxygen sensor will tell the computer to enrich your fuel mix because it doesn't sense as much emissions and therefore your fuel economy will go back to normal. You can get a device to fool your oxygen sensor much like a finger stick fools your egr. Check here: EFIE Described

I've read the same. Will just have to cross that bridge when I get to it. I remember also finding a website that had a sleeve that moved the O2 sensor somewhat away from the full exhaust stream, but not too far where it could not read the correct temp. The only drawback there was if you deactivated the HHO system, then it did trip emmission, but did not affect performance. I will have to find the website and post.
To trip the O2 sensor u will need a O2 simulator. Just fools the computer into thinking that the engine is running as normal as can be when in fact its is running out of normal parameters.
