I was actually planning to run a test cell, and start out with an ounce of antifreeze. A simple antifreeze tester will let me know if I have enough to sustain the cold in my area, and using it on a test cell will confirm if amount produced is the same as without the antifreeze.
Otherwise, I'm counting on the temp under the hood while running to keep from freezing the solution.
I will be sure to post my results.
Oh yeah...if it runs low on water...just gonna add some more.

haha after watching that video, if you run your hydrogen powered car in the winter, you'd have to make sure your tailpipe doesn't freeze up!!! HAHAHAHA
I don't think you have to worry about the water freezing. Because a commercial electric steam generator has the same parts. This being said, I wonder what is done with the hydrogen in a steam generator?
I'm talking about a steam generator not a steam engine. The steam generator I have worked on was an electric device, with 3 electrodes in water. The current flowed between the elctrodes and heated the water to steam. Interesting bit was that there was no low watershutoff safety required because when the water was gone there was no longer a current path and so there was no longer heat! This device was 3phase AC.
