The Amsoil is good stuff, but the 2-cycle oil is much cheaper for the usage. I use Amsoil for everything in my truck except for the fuel thing.

My first diesel was a 6.9 Ford in '83 and I would use 1 qt. dexron auto. fluid in every 20 gal. tank. I also added 1qt. to 9 Rotella 15-40---- 316,000 NO problems!!!!!!!!!!!

will the 2-cycle oil really help that much???
I really had not thought of that...

I went and got some....It IS a lot cheaper huh?!?!?
I put it in, we'll see what happens, I still have some of the Diesel Kleen left over,
do you think it would be a problem to run them together?
I would not see how it would but maybe someone else knows different...
Thanks for the info!!!

Consider this,Stanadyne is the ONLY maker of fuel injectors, injection pumps and fuel systems that actually make their own additive, now additives are not even recommended by GM,but they say if ya have to,they will only stand behind this one.I can get the bottles that treat 60 gals. fer 10 bucks,if anyone would like...??..

use lucas during the summer and stanadyne durring the winter months replaced the injectors 6000 miles ago and looked very clean also run b20 every now and then. so i whould have to say both are excelent definettly can tell when i dont run an addative fuel system is a lot louder espesially coastting down hills. however would not recomend lucas durring winter does not lower cloud point. when cold flows like frozen 90w.

I agree stanadyne seems to quiten the engine down more but at 15 dollars a bottle compared to 17 dollars for a gallon of lucas during the summer months i'll take lucas anyday.
