improvement to the 6gun in my LMM

The 6-gun with speed loader (no PDA) has been great on my LMM. One complaint that I've always had though has been the shifting. Sometimes the truck just would not want to shift unless I backed off a little, and/or it would take forever to shift. It didn't do it stock, just with the 6 gun. I also noticed that if I dead floored it, it would be a little dead at first.

Recently, I decided to try shimming the FPRV with the 2 washers ala PPE. WOW. The truck shifts GREAT now with the Banks (I'm always on level 5), and the truck is much more responsive when I gun it!

Good to hear you got some improvement!! Usually the hanging shifts is due to a dirty fuel filter, and a clean one will remedy the problem. You might give that a try and see if you get some more good results. Don't believe the "lie-o-meter" in the dash. It's not accurate, and will leave you stranded if you follow it!

I was running the stock filter and began to notice that the truck would hiccup on level 6 when I gunned it. Then on level 5. All with 66% on the life-o-meter. Then it got better... bad fuel? I changed anyway it to the new GM Coalescer filter and things right right on all levels. A week after I did the new filter, I did the shim and the shifting and snap improved. So, I think that this is as one-at-a-time as you can to evaluate changes.

I'm very pleased!

I change my fuel filters at 10K and the lie-o-meter is anywhere from 25-50% remaining. I cut them all open and they are nasty inside.
