| burnout hey, this may be a stupid question, but when i burnout, i usually put it in neutral first to get a good boost then put it in drive. my friends tells me that they put it in first gear while holding down the brakes, then second still holding the brakes, then drive. how do you guys burnout?

| Put it in third, T/H, and hold the brakes. I only have the 5 speed allison in mine. How are you building boost with no load on the engine? Just raising the RPMs doesn't "build boost" in and of itself for the most part.....it helps to have the load on the engine. I would think that you are going to either break something or burn something up with the way that you were doing it now.

| In and of itself, not a whole lot. Install a boost guage and see. My truck will only show about 1-2 psi when I have my elevated idle on 1700 rpms. My boost guage is on my TST, so it is digital.

| so too build boost, you have to hold down the brakes while in gear? because i thought it builds boost in neutral too.

| No load = no boost You have to load it with the transmission and the break. Just hold the break untill you feel it want to push through the breaks and then just nail the throttle and they'll light up no prob.
Being that you have a lbz alot of them had som traction control BS that makes it kinda hard to get the burnout through the 1-2 shift but if you play with it enough it will go through it! I would put the truck in second and leave it there, being stock i dont know if it will have enough to do 3rd!!

o yeah, i dont have gauges yet. | Yes, hold the brakes while in gear and roll onto the throttle. It takes some practice not to hold the brakes too hard.

| Drag racing. put it in drive 4x4 and do the same thing hold brakes, spool the turbo untill u feel it start to push and just hold it righ there let up pun the break just enough to let it bump the second staging light wait untill the lights fall and leave up on the break and mat the throttle.
burn outs are not needed with a 4x4 especialy on street tires, try to avoid the water box if the track guys will let you!!!
If you want to run in 2x4 dont spool it up much or it will just blow the tires off!!!

| burnout at the drag strip is unnecessary with a 4wd.
