| Loosin some leafs?
I am wanting to do something with my rear springs to lower the rear of the truck a bit. I have 2 thoughts on this either remove some of the stock springs, or i have access to a set of half ton "3" sping leaf packs. Another plus to the removal of some spings would be a slight loss in weight and maybe some better traction at the track. Right now the rear of the truck sets about 4" higher (tire to fender) in the rear than the front. 8" front 12" rear.
Any thoughts on this? anyone else done any thing like this?

| are you just trying to level the truck out or actually trying to lower the vehicle if your just trying to level the truck crank up the torsion bars 5 or six turns will bring front end pretty close to level if your tying to lower your truck i would recomend lowering shacle kit will drop rear 2 to 3 inches. | |

| I want to level it but level with the t bars all the way down, plus soften the rear up a bit to aid in traction on launches!

| i've never heard or read of anyone doing anything like that, but i don't see why you can't take a spring out and lower your rear end. your traction bars will keep the axel in place if for some reason taking a spring out would weaken that, but i don't see why it would.

| I wonder if the 2500HD 2wd or none HD trucks have a different spring in the rear? I thought the 1/2 ton shackles would be different but maybe not.

| Half ton springs measure the same 32" eye to centerbolt both front and rear.
I just decided to remove some springs i did the surgery tonight ill post some pics tomarrow. I left the top two springs as well as the bottom overload . It droped it to almost level not to mention it lost probally 80 lbs!!!
