Hey guys so this year I hit the pulling season hard and had a great year. But when I went to pulls I didn't have weights I ran around 7200lbs when most trucks where around 8000-8500 depending on what pull I went too. So I bought weight last month 1200lb worth and have not been able to pull with them yet. I plan on building a weight bar but I want to know how much it will change my pulling and what else can I expect to deal with now?

Wish I could build my truck into a puller...but out in Cali the pulls aren't the main focus it's drag racing

your going to want most/all of it on the front on a weight brackit like your talking about making. i havent pulled with hanging weight yet because its not allowed where i pull. but most people i talk to that pull with weights use around 1000-1200 hanging on the front. try 1000 on the front and throw a couple hundred in the front of the bed (up against the cab) and see how that works for ya. should make a huge difference most places have an 8500 weight limit for pulling so just make sure you dont go over. if your at 7200, i would hang 1000 on the front and put 300 in the bed.

Yeah thats what I was thinking I have heard of some Dmax's with too much weight up front and then they get wheel hop until the pan starts to drop because of all the weight over the front tires.

i'm gonna hang 1500LBS on the front and then the rest in the bed for nest year!

weight makes a huge difference. More of your power will get to the ground with weight. I would go and build yourself a good weight bracket for the front where you can easily add or take off weight. The lower you can get the front and the higher you can get the rear is best!

pump your air bags up if you have some, or just jack the truck up and block the springs up so your back is up and doesnt give

airbags are a bad idea for the rear of your pulling truck..to much give even when aired up tight! just block the rear with roughly 1.5-2" travel!
