| Sled pulling basics for IFS trucks Summer is here and that means its sled pulling time! I am new to IFS HD trucks and the Dmax and I have a few questions so I figured this would be the best place to ask. I have pulled before with my ford but I never worried about that truck because it had a Dana 60 with an open diff up front and I figured I would never break it.
1. Do you guys crank down your t-bars to get more weight over the front end?
2. On a stock truck with no mods will the factory tie-rods hold up?
3. What gear and range do you pull in? Wet, tacky, dry track?
4. tow/haul mode?
5. Is it going to hop real bad? If it does can it take it?
6. is the stock receriver going to cut it?
Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated. I love sled pulling its such a rush, I just don't want to look like an a** or be sitting at the end of the track with my tires pointing towards each other!

| this is what we do on our trucks and it has done great for us,drop the T/Bars all the way down and most times i even remove the bolts and if you have a 3/4Ton truck clamp the back leave springs to avoid the bunny hop but if the truck does start hopping let out of it or you will BREAK stuff.with the front all the way down your stock frontend will hold up but i would highly recommend doing the tie rod braces and centerlink to protect your $1800 frontend.the stock hitch will do but go with a strong adjustable aftermarket reciever,on my LBZ i put it in 3RD gear manual mode with tow haul on and let it rip from there, other then that you will be fine.hope this makes sense and most of all have fun.

| i run mine in four high 3rd gear with the tow haul on. but like most people i learned the hard way with lots of things. i lost the stock tranny many many tie rods and tons of cv shafts. im also running an 02 duramax with an aurora 5000 turbo, injectors, ppe hot tune +2 et, and a custom van aiken box. i also have a stage 5 sun coast tranny. i love pulling its such a rush |
