Chevy Cummins/Allison conversion

I got a few questions, I picked up a 94 chevy dually cheap no motor no trans, looking to do a cummins/allison conversion in it, wondering if anybody has had luck doing one with a allison with out spending an arm and leg getting the stand alone computer. The motor and trans is out of an old FEDEX truck and I do have access to the truck still. I realize I will need the computer out of the fedex truck and wiring to shift the trans. I am in the dark when it comes to wiring and the making the tranny work in the truck. Basically looking for any ideas and pointers before I start for that part of the job. Thanks for all advice and help. Ryan

because the allison I have has the cummins bellhousing and I can get a motor cheaper than I could buy a 454 for and a 6.5, well we won't even go there with them...

You should contact painless wiring harnesses they should be able to make you a custom harness to work in that truck with that motor and trans.I would put a d max in it but hey thats me and stumpman lol.J/K i know you have the cummins already

did you read that the chevy in question is a 1994? Really, on the old body style GM trucks, its probably easier to put a mechanical cummins in than a duramax or something.
