6.0L PSD guys

ok guys. 03 6.0L Powerstroke. Loud whine from engine/turbo under heavy load starting at about 2000rpm. not present under light acceleration. No engine light no codes. This is after intake manifold was removed to clean egr system, egr valve replaced ans ICP sensor replaced do to leaking oil. any ideas?

Another thing to look at is to see if the whining increases with RPM and is it just under boost when this occures

haha sounds normal to me....its gonna be louder when a load is put on it.....do you have a boost guage???? if so watch your boost i bet its higher when your takin off with a load on then when you just excellerate slow....:cool

So this only happened after you R&R the intake manifold?, if so I would bet you have a leak at the intake manifold gasket, these should be replaced if the manifold is removed. Once you build some boost it's leaking past the gasket somewhere.
