and 7.3's arent all the same....you have the IDI(indirect injection), then in 94 they brought out the Turbo IDI( I owned one), then in late 94 they brought out the 7.3 Powerstroke(direct injection), then in 99 they changed again....went to a wastegated turbo, intercooled, different computer setup
sounds like ford just couldn't get it right maybe polishing a terd?????

well if we wanna compare apples to apples....lets see.....Ford/Navistar went through changes over the years starting with a great base (7.3 IDI non turbo) and progressed over the years improving upon previous designs to build a greater, and great engine......GM on the other hand....relied upon Isuzu to try and make something better than the proven 6.2.....a gutless turd, but bullitproof none the less.....hence the abortion known as a 6.5.....which GM ran for what?? 15 years with no improvements whatsoever......then finally the birth of the 6.6.....which finally, finally brought GM into the diesel game with the big boys.....granted after mass injector, and head issues....they have a great engine....but then another brain fart brings on the LMM.....and I have full right to complain....I own one and dislike it every day.....so comparing apples to apples.....I think Ford/Navistar had it right......Im not here to flash brand loyalty as I've owned several of both(only one Dodge....I learn quickly).....A man asked a question relating to Performance Parts for a Ford and that is where my knowledge is.....I spend alot of time on The Powerstroke Forum....not always talking....but alot of reading and have learned much and shared that.....Stroker...thanks for the vote of confidence.....Im now getting down off my soapbox lol

I usually try to give credit where it is deserved
I agree with you about the whole GM diesel situation. Everyone seems to have forgotten about the 6.5L diesel GM used to have when they put down the Powerstroke....and not to mention the wonderful LB7 injectors.
